Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands-on technique that provides sustained

pressure into Myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and help restore motion.

Fascia is a three dimensional, dense, woven covering that interpenetrates every

muscle, one, nerve, and organ in our body.  It is one never ending structure

extending from head to toe with our interruption.

In a normal healthy state, the fascia is relaxed and wavy, it has the ability to stretch

and move without restriction.  When there is a physical trauma, scarring, or inflammation, the fascia loses its pliability.  These changes in the fascial system influence the comfort and the function of our body, this can cause excessive pressure, producing pain or restriction of movement, effecting our flexibility and stability.

The goal of MFR is to restore the clients freedom, so they can return to a pain free, active lifestyle.
